The online training course on Infection Control and Prevention Basics for Healthcare Workplaces provides insight into how infections spread. It highlights the best practices that can be adopted to prevent the transmission of microorganisms responsible for causing infections in healthcare settings. The presence of microorganisms is a common occurrence in the environment and can be easily transferred from one person to another.

Prerequisites & Completion

At the end of each module, there is a test. Participants must successfully complete the test before continuing to the next module. Participants that do not achieve 100% can review the module content and try as many times as necessary to advance and complete the course.

Certification

Upon successfully completing all modules, there is a printable certificate for your records.

The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation that you can build to improve your understanding of routine practices, proper hand hygiene and the means of transmission of infectious agents.
