CPR & AED Level C

Duration: Level A: 4 hours, Level C: 5 hours

Blended CPR A: 3 hours online learning, 2 hours teaching time; Blended CPR C: 3 hours online learning, 3 hours teaching time

CPR & AED stand for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator respectively.

This CPR-AED Course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen.

Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Certificate in CPR-AED course offers training suitable for workplace and or general interest. Most of individuals have some form of CPR training which in emergency situation are proven beneficial and help saves live.

INSTRUCTOR

Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor or Instructor Trainer

COMPLETION

Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps.

100% attendance and participation.

75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation and adherence to the Fundamental Principles.

CERTIFICATION

3-year certification in CPR (Level A, C) and AED

RE-CERTIFICATION

Level A: Not available

Level C : 3.5 hours

Blended CPR Level C: 2 hours online learning and 2.5 hours teaching time
