Psychological First Aid – Caring for Others

Psychological First Aid – Caring for Others

In the Psychological First Aid – Caring for Others course, learn how to recognize when a person is in distress and how to offer help without judgement or assumptions.

Psychological First Aid is about taking care of yourself and then being there for family and friends when they are having difficulty coping.

This course is for:

  • Anyone looking to develop the skills to help others cope with stress while also developing self-care practices to promote their own psychological well being. This may include professional responders, people in the workplace, and youth (must be 14 years of age and older, adult support recommended for younger audiences).

Two Psychological First Aid courses are available online: Self-Care and this course, Caring for Others. Complete both courses for a well-rounded approach to psychological first aid and wellness.

Self-directed: Learn at your own pace by working through the training materials independently online. Duration: approximately 90 minutes per course, depending on the individual.
